The Openfield Partnership is the UK’s only national farming grain co-operative. It produces approximately four million tonnes of grain a year and supplies some of the biggest and best-known names in the British food and drink manufacturing industry. Openfield underlines that its business is about much more than grain.

It supplies its members with seed and fertiliser, provides grain storage, offers expert advice on marketing and risk management and delivers innovative supply chain solutions to its clients.

Although there is a degree of uncertainty about its export markets, due to the size of recent harvests, the company continues to invest heavily in equipment and vehicles.

It has also recruiting actively, and it is developing new technologies such as an app to further improve collection and delivery efficiencies for its farmers and consumer clients.

Its aim is to build on an established reputation for openness, quality and reliability, and it has an aggressive plan to increase its market share by 2020.
