Here at Openfield our colleagues are more than just drivers. Our drivers are an integral part of our team as the key person who meets with our farmer members and consumer customers, making all our drivers the face of Openfield.
A Drive Like No Other
As one of our drivers you will be collecting wheat, barley and oil seed rape as well as other commodities from farms up and down the country and delivering these into stores, mills and ports. This job is like no other and challenges even the best drivers, taking you down farm tracks and tight lanes. During a typical week, you will also move loads that are complementary to our core operation including rape meal, wheat feed pellets and cattle feed.
High Tech Kit
You will be driving high spec equipment which has everything you need to live away for the week. All our cabs are fitted with fridges, freezers and microwaves to ensure your weeks are as comfortable as possible and we use top quality bulk tipping trailers with remote controlled sheets and onboard weighers. But we never rest as our drivers meet regularly to suggest ways we could improve our fleet as we thrive for continuous improvement.
Outstanding Package
Our pay package is very competitive. You will have the potential to earn £50,000+, inclusive of incentive bonus, night out allowance and meal allowance. Voluntary overtime is also available at weekends and this is always readily available. All drivers will also receive valuable benefits including high levels of life assurance, 5% matched pension and a great Employee Assistance Programme including free financial advice and counselling.
