Working with the existing small team to oversee the intake and out loading of members grain, along with: • Drying grain, Color Sorting and sampling grain. • Loading lorries and ships. • General site repairs and maintenance.

We have a fantastic opportunity to join Openfield as a Laboratory & Ports Analyst in the Grain Laboratory, based in Colsterworth.
We are looking for someone who can work closely, collaboratively and effectively to ensure clarity and accuracy of communications and who can proactively build and maintain positive and effective working relationships with all our internal and external stakeholders.
The successful candidate will also demonstrate self- motivation and good time management who will drive their own proactive approach to learning, development and continuous improvement in the role.
We are looking for someone with:
• Relevant experience in grain laboratories/weighbridge (ideally)
• Science based/mathematical education and application (desirable)
• Ability to work accurately with close attention to detail is key
• Ability to remain highly focused especially during the grain analysis process
• Proven time management skills and proficient in data entry
• Mathematical orientation with ability to process numbers and good at mental arithmetic
• Self-motivated to learn, develop and grow in the role to include completion of required training courses.
• Willingness to travel and stay overnight where required and do some weekend work where required.
• Understanding the requirement for flexibility with starting and finishing times in busy periods (especially harvest and portside).
